The latest breed of Formula 1 cars are an interesting bunch. They pack turbocharged V6 engines, high-powered hybrid drivetrains, and the ones wearing Mercedes badges have made winning look quite second nature. This stunning shape – according to Peugeot – is better, however.
It's called the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo concept and it marks the latest in Gran Turismo 6's digital celebration of all things two doored and fast. Like the rest of the 'Vision GT' series, the Peugeot is bound for digital download to a Playstation console near you, and there's good reason why you ought to give one a spin.

It's properly very, very powerful. Slotted somewhere midship, the Peugeot concept brandishes a turbocharged 3.2-liter V6 engine, which produces a claimed 875 horsepower and mates to a six-speed manual gearbox, driving all four wheels. In the digital landscape that massive horsepower rating, slight 875kg curb weight (1,929 lbs.), and one-to-one power ratio provide the Peugeot with an estimated zero to 60 mph sprint of just 1.73 seconds – enough to give an F1 car a run for its money.
Stopping power comes courtesy of hearty Brembo carbon brakes, housed within 22-inch alloy wheels up front and 23-inch wheels in the rear, and aerodynamic grip is generated without the use of obtrusive wings. Instead, aerodynamic elements have been massaged into the supercar's stunning creases and lines, thanks to cooperation between Peugeot designers and Peugeot Sport racing engineers.

Admittedly, this stunning supercar doesn't exist in the real world, but perhaps with time it may. Peugeot's 208 T16 Pikes Peak race car also boasts a 3.2-liter, 875 horsepower engine. And this car's likeness resembles that of the 2013 fan-favorite Onyx concept, which combined carbon fiber, copper body panels, newspaper-formed wood, and a 600-horsepower diesel-hybrid powertrain. Back then, such a car seemed rather unthinkable. Today, not so much.
